Snippets and Voting and Casting, Oh My!

Well to start off with I have been very behind on my posts for the last few days, and as a result I have a lot of things to talk about. 

To start off with, both Jem and Magnus won their matches in the YA-Sisterhood Crush Tournament resulting in two rather painful snippets from Cassie (I hate to see what snippet she'll give us when one of the boys lose). In other tournament news, today's matches pitted the MI boys against two very difficult opponents, Alec against Adrian and Simon against Patch so make sure you go vote!!! (The snippets regarding the outcome of both matches will be up in a few days). 

As if Clockwork Princess snippets weren't enough, today we got some very exciting news in the casting department, we now have a Luke and a Madame Dorathea!!! 

Luke will be played by Aidan Turner from Being Human. I think he is perfect and I am super excited to finally have an actor for our beloved bookshop owning werewolf. Make sure you check out what Cassie has to say about Aidan's casting. 

In other casting news, Clary's downstairs neighbor the Amazing Madame Dorathea will be played by CCH Pounder, a very well known actress from a whole slew of TV shows including the X-Files and ER. Cassie and the director are both very happy with CCH's casting, check out what she has to say about it here.

Well, that about sums up the excitement for the day, fingers crossed that we'll get the rest of the casting information soon, and remember go VOTE FOR ALEC AND SIMON!!!

Clockwork Princess Snippet

Congratulations to Will who won his round of the YA-Sisterhood Crush Tourney yesterday and advance onto the round of Eight. As Cassie promised, here is the happy snippet in honor of Will's win...

“Will!”

He turned at the familiar voice and saw Tessa. There was a small path cut along the side of the hill, lined with unfamiliar white flowers, and she was walking up it, toward him. Her long brown hair blew in the wind — she had taken off her straw bonnet, and held it in one hand, waving it at him and smiling as if she were glad to see him.  

His own heart leaped up at the sight of her. “Tess,” he called. But she was still such a distance away — she seemed both very near and very far suddenly and at the same time. He could see every detail of her pretty, upturned face, but could not touch her, and so he stood, waiting and desiring, and his heart beat like the wings of seagulls in his chest. 

At last she was there, close enough that he could see where the grass and flowers bent beneath the tread of her shoes. He reached out for her —

It's so nice to finally get a happy snippet for Will, all the other ones so far have been far too painful. I have a feeling that when this book finally comes out that I'm going to be heartbroken reading it.

YA-Sisterhood Crush Tournament: VOTE TEAM WILL!!!

City of Bones Casting News!!!

            

Yesterday was an extremely exciting day for TMI fans, because we finally got some major casting information. Incase you missed it we now have Jocelyn, Hodge, and Magnus!!!

Jocelyn will be played by the lovely Lena Headey, most people may know her better as Cersei from Game of Thrones. Personally I can't wait to see her bring Clary's kick-ass, over protective mother to the big screen. Click this link to see what Cassie said on her Tumblr about Lena's casting.

Jared Harris of Sherlock Holmes fame, has been cast to bring the cursed tutor Hodge to life. Again, Cassie seemed really happy with his casting choice, so I am too. 

And perhaps the most anticipated casting choice so far, Magnus!!! The honor of the High Warlock of Brooklyn has been bestowed upon Godfrey Gao. He is perfect! He just seems so Magnus-like! Not only is he seriously hot, but he is also ridiculously tall like our wonderful warlock and he is a huge fan of the books which gets major thumbs up from me!!! Now all we need is a perfect Alec to complement him... Check out what Cassie thinks of our Magnus!

So that about sums up the excitement of yesterday's casting news. I for one am very happy with the casting choices so far. I think they will give us amazing representations of our beloved book characters and I can’t wait to see the chemistry between the entire cast when the movie starts filming. Now we just have to wait for Alec! As well as a certain evil mastermind and our resident werewolf pack leader. Fingers crossed we’ll get the rest of the casting news soon. I am so excited for this movie, it is going to be awesome!   

The Crush-Worthy Characters of Cassandra Clare

            Well without further a due, I give you the first official post of Clockwork Shadowhunter!

            As most TMI and ID fans know, this year’s version of the YA-Sisterhood’s Crush Tournament is in full swing. This is the same tournament that Jace was the winner of last year, and I am happy to report that all of Cassandra Clare’s characters entered in this year’s tournament have advanced to the round of Sweet Sixteen.
