Clockwork Princess Snippet

Well it's the last day of August, and to ease the passing into September I give you a Clockwork Princess snippet, straight from Cassie's Tumblr. Today's snippet contains the dreaded she so I have no idea who it is referring to. However, whenever you have someone pleading for a kiss, it can not be good.  

Her throat ached: adoration, heartbreak, in equal measure. “Kiss me,” she said. “Please.”

I don't know how this woman can manage to cause me so much pain with such a small sentence but there you go. Any guesses who the scene is talking about?  

Clockwork Princess Snippet

Have a Clockwork Princess snippet*. It is Willish-centric, so it should fulfill any Will snippets I am currently owing. :)

Will began to move toward the door to join Charlotte. Halfway there, he turned back, and crossed the room to Tessa: “Please,” he said, “while I am with him, would you do something for me?”

Tessa looked up and swallowed. He was too close, too close: all the lines, shapes, angles of Will filled her field of vision as the sound of his voice filled her ears. “Yes, certainly,” she said. “What is it?”

*I am a sucker.

I think every snippet from this book has succeeded in shattering a piece of my heart. Even the ones that aren't that sad are starting to depress me because when you compare them to the sad snippets you just get a feeling that this book is going to require a box of Kleenex.

Well, so far I haven't been reblogging much fan art, there are so many wonderful artists out there that if I tried posting all my favorites I would never get off the computer. However, this one I literally could not resist, plus it is a special occasion with the first day of filming officially wrapped up.

On the Set of City of Bones - Day 2

Well yesterday brought us the exciting first pictures from Day 1 of filming in Toronto and they definitely did not disappoint. We were treated to Jamie, Kevin, Jemima, and Lily all dressed to kill in some awesome Shadowhunter costumes.

Today's pictures are a little lighter, courtesy of Cassie's Tumblr, the many wonderful people taking pictures on set, and l-collins.net, I give you Simon and Clary!

I can't believe the chemistry that those two have in the first picture, they look like they have been best friends for years.

This second picture brings us a very frazzled looking Clary talking on her cellphone. There are a couple pictures after this on l-collins.net that have her running down the street. I'm going to hazard a guess that this could be when she is trying to talk to her mom at the beginning of the book, right before Valentine abducts Jocelyn. 

And this final picture brings to life a certain, very well known coffee shop. I think I would definitely be eating there if it was real, that set looks great, welcome to Java Jones!

Make sure to go and check out the other pictures floating around from the set, we're only two days in and I'm already super excited about this movie. I have no idea how I'm going to wait until next August... 

City of Bones Movie - First Day of Filming!

It's finally here!!! Today was the official first day of filming in Toronto and I can't even begin to describe how excited I am.

I have to start off by saying that all of the cast look incredible!!!
From the top, Jamie as Jace, Kevin as Alec, Lily as Clary, Jemima as Isabelle, and of course let's not forget Robbie as Simon!

Let me just say that if the first few pictures that have been posted are anything to go by, we are in for a major treat in the upcoming months. The costumes look amazing, I love the marks and the shadowhunting gear looks kick-ass, Jamie and Kevin definitely look dangerous, and check out Jemima's boots. Isabelle is in full demon-stomping mode. I wonder which scene got the honor of being the first to be shot, I'm guessing from Clary's heel's that she has already been attacked by Isabelle's fashion sense, so maybe they're on the way to Clary's apartment? Anybody have any guesses?

Movie News - In Case You Missed It...

First of all I apologize for being a little lax on my posts lately, unfortunately it's been one of those weeks where life is moving in a million different directions. Anyway, in case you some how missed it, we now have our Valentine!!!

Jonathan Rhys-Meyers

I can't even begin to say how happy I am at this casting choice, I think he is going to be the PERFECT Valentine. I mean, all you have to do is watch a trailer for The Tudors and you can see how awesome he is at playing the cold, power-hungry ruler. Make sure you check out what Cassie said on her Tumblr, and also if you haven't yet, go and take a look at the Official Movie Website. It is Amazing!  

As a small side note, apparently I completely missed posting about the casting of Brother Jeremiah (I'm not sure how that happened), but anyway here he is. 

Brother Jeremiah will be played by Stephen R Hart. Unfortunately I can't say much because I know nothing about him so check out what Cassie said. I definitely agree with her, I think the Silent Brothers are going to look really cool when all is said and done.  

So anyway, that at least manages to cover what I have missed posting in the world of casting. The only spaces left to fill are Alaric and Raphael, so hopefully we'll get that news soon. I can't believe filming is about to start, it just makes everything seem so much more real. I can't wait for the first pictures to appear from the set. Maybe a trip to Toronto is in order... 

Vote For Will!!!

Well we are down to the Final Match of the YA-Sisterhood Crush Tournament, and the wonderful William Herondale is up against Adrian Ivashkov from The Vampire Academy series. This is just a quick reminder to VOTE FOR WILL! 

It would be such a shame to make it through all those amazing characters only to stumble at the end. Right now the match is close so it is more important than ever to VOTE. Come on Shadowhunters, we can do this! 

YA-Sisterhood Crush Tournament - WILL!

OK so I guess that gives away the fact that although I love Jem, I am indeed TEAM WILL through and through. There is just something so alluring about the Herondale boys.

Anyway, right now I am ecstatic to announce that Will has made it to the Finals of the YA-Sisterhood Crush Tournament!!! The match will take place tomorrow, Friday August 10th. Will will be up against Adrian from The Vampire Academy series.

This is it, the last chance to make sure that one of Cassie's boys is crowned Champion, and really who better to take over Jace's title than Will. So make sure tomorrow you go and VOTE! Let's make sure Will wins one final match and we'll show everyone just how amazing ALL of Cassie's characters are.

Today is the day. Today the YA-Sisterhood Crush Tournament has Will vs. Jem, competing for the honor of representing TID in the Finals! I of course have my favorite, but as to not influence the voting with my opinion I shall leave the boys to their wonderful representatives.

Hi guys! Alyssa with TMI Source & I (Katie w/ Mundie Moms) are back to help Will advance to the next round! You helped Will advance in his first match here, his second match here, and his most recent match here. Today's match may prove to be the hardest yet, as he's up against Jem, another guy we love! Being Will's advocates, Alyssa and I want to tell you guys for ourselves why WILL is the ONE TO VOTE FOR. 

“Will has always been the brighter burning star, the one to catch attention.”

Will would be the first to tell you that Jem is the better man. But in Will saying that—and in his actions toward those he loves—shows just how great of a person he is.

The first thing that comes to mind when one mentions Will Herondale isn’t his blue eyes or his gorgeous looks, it’s the sacrifices he has made in his life. Even at age 12, when he left his family because he believed he was endangering them, Will has always put the well-being of those he cares for first.

Will is willing to give up his true love, Tessa, because he would rather Jem be happy than himself. Will has suffered too much in his life and yet he puts his parabatai’s happiness above his own regardless of how much it tears him up inside.

“If Jem dies, I cannot be with Tessa,” said Will. “Because it will be as if I were waiting for him to die, or took some joy in his death, if it let me have her. And I will not be that person. Will is a caring person and the person he cares most about is his parabatai Jem. Will insistently searches for a cure to Jem’s “disease” and has even admitted that Jem is more deserving of life.

And despite the way he treats those he cares about sometimes—due to the curse he believes was cast upon him—those people see the good in him no matter how hard he tries to hide it.

Vote Team Jem!

Hi y'all - It's Stacey and Pixie from Page Turners Blog, and this is it...it's time for Jem to battle his best friend, his parabatai, and his toughest competitor in the "crush" department. Personally, we don't understand all the Will hype, but since Jem loves him we are going to play nice.

Well that's my two-bits worth, I hate seeing our boy up against each other, parabatai should NEVER have to fight each other, but it should still be a killer match. I'll post the results and the upcoming snippets from Cassie when I get the chance, but for now I am off to VOTE!

Clockwork Princess Snippets

This week both Will and Jem won their rounds of the YA-Sisterhood Crush Tournament, so Cassie was nice enough to treat us to TWO Clockwork Princess snippets.

The first one is a Jem snippet.

“Though Will was saying earlier,” Tessa added, “that heroes all come to bad ends, and he could not imagine why anyone would want to be one, anyway.”

“Ah.” Jem’s hand squeezed hers briefly, and then let it go. “Well, Will is looking at it from the hero’s viewpoint, isn’t he? But as for the rest of us, it’s an easy answer.”

“Is it?”

“Of course.” His voice was almost a whisper now. “Heroes endure because we need them. Not for their own sakes. If Will …” 

The second one is a Will snippet. 

“By the Angel, Bridget’s depressing,” said Henry, setting down his newspaper directly on his plate and causing the edge to soak through with egg yolk. Charlotte opened her mouth as if to object, and closed it again. “It’s all heartbreak, death and unrequited love.”

“Well, that is what most songs are about,” said Will. “Requited love is nice, but it doesn’t make much of a ballad.”

You can find all these snippets and more on Cassie's Tumblr. I'm not sure how anyone else feels about all these snippets, but I'm beginning to think that each copy of Clockwork Princess sold should come with a complementary box of Kleenex.

Later this week Cassie has also promised a snippet for both Simon and Alec so I will post those as soon as I can, and don't forget tomorrow to vote for your favorite when Will and Jem go head-to-head. 

YA-Sisterhood Crush Tournament: Will or Jem?

Well, the YA-Sisterhood Crush Tourney is getting down to its final rounds and we are definitely in for a fight to the end. Yesterday's matches featured Will as the victor over Adam from Shatter Me, and Jem winning an incredibly close match over Magnus. It is always unfortunate to see one of our boys go out, however there can only be one winner and at least it was Jem who beat Magnus.

The round of Final Four matches will take place August 8th with a head-to-head match-up between Will and Jem (it's going to be such a nail biter), and the Final will be August 10th. So far we know that one of the ID boys will be in the final but the question remains, who? 

I will be posting Cassie's snippets when she reveals them and I will also post a link to the match between Will and Jem on August 8th. So until then the question to think about is...

City of Bones Casting News: Alec!!!

It's True!!! We FINALLY have Alec! 

I'm so excited to announce that the painstaking wait is over at last, our Alec is...

Kevin Zegers!!!

I think that this has definitely been the most highly anticipated casting decision since Cassie announced Isabelle and ALMOST was able to announce Alec, although as everyone knows due to unforeseen circumstances that didn't happen and we have been waiting (patiently) since. However, the waiting is finally over and I think Kevin will make a perfect Alec. According to Cassie he nailed the audition, as all of our cast members have been doing, and she could not be happier. Make sure you read all of what Cassie said about Kevin here on her Tumblr sight.

As if getting our Alec wasn't good enough, we were also treated to the revelation of the OFFICIAL MORTAL INSTRUMENTS MOVIE SIGHT!
It will be the place to find up to date information on casting, characters, pictures and other exciting things as we approach the official start date for filming. I can't believe they start filming in 20 DAYS, it just makes all of it seem so much more real. Now there are only a few characters left to cast, fingers crossed it will be soon, after all they are about to start filming... :D
